Paul Davila was born and raised in Laredo, Texas, a small border city located along the southern Rio Grande. His passion for filmmaking spawned at a young age from his love for Movies and the art of Visual Storytelling. In 2011, he received his Bachelor's Degree in Theatre/TV/Film from the University of Texas-Pan American (now University of Texas-Rio Grande Valley). While studying at UTPA, Paul dedicated his free time to working on as many student film productions as he could. It was here that he discovered his love for both being behind the camera and in the editing room, splicing the story together and making it come to life.
Immediately following graduation in late 2011, Paul moved to Los Angeles, where he began his career as a freelance cinematographer and video editor. For almost 11 years, he honed his skills by working on productions of various sizes, budgets, and content, both on set and in the edit bay, picking up new skills along the way. Even when not working, he continued to occupy his down time working as a cinematographer, editor, and director on self-produced content, including his 'in-house' production company and sketch comedy group, The House On South Bronson.
Paul now lives in the suburbs of Chicago, IL and continues to work as a remote freelance video editor and video colorist, but is always willing to get back behind the camera.
